Hello, I’m Courtney Cope, owner, artist, educator, and founder of Shero Beauty Pro Academy. For nearly three decades, the beauty industry has been more than my career, it has been a huge part of my life, my evolution, and ultimately, my purpose. I began my career as a hairstylist and spent  more than two decades behind the chair, building relationships with women and discovering just how powerful it can be to help someone feel beautiful and confident. In 2015, I decided to expand my skills by training in permanent cosmetics. What began as an additional service quickly became a passion that would completely change the direction of my career.

 

I fell in love with the artistry of permanent makeup, but even more than that, I fell in love with the impact. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone see themselves differently, restoring confidence, and creating results that allow people to feel like the best version of themselves.

Eventually, I made one of the biggest decisions of my career: I closed my previous business and took a leap of faith to create something bigger. That leap became Shero Beauty Pro Academy, a studio and training academy built around artistry, education, empowerment, and connection.

Today, I work alongside an incredibly talented team providing permanent makeup, paramedical tattooing, fine-line tattooing, scalp micropigmentation, advanced beauty services, and professional education for the next generation of artists. Education has always been incredibly important to me. Throughout my career, I have completed more than 40 professional certifications, trained across the United States with some of the industry’s most respected master artists, become a Board-Certified Artist through the American Academy of Micropigmentation, and earned my credentials as a Platinum Board Certified Trainer. But experience has taught me that being a great artist or educator isn’t simply about the number of certificates hanging on a wall. It’s about continuing to learn, staying humble enough to evolve, sharing what you know, and genuinely caring about the people who trust you with their faces, their stories, and their futures. And that is exactly what SHERO represents. A Shero is a woman hero—a woman admired for her courage, strength, achievements, and resilience. Throughout my years in this industry, I have had the privilege of meeting countless Sheroes. They are my clients, my students, my fellow artists, my friends, and the women who have trusted me enough to share their stories with me. Their strength and resilience became part of the inspiration behind this brand. Shero has grown tremendously over the years, but my purpose remains very much the same: to help women feel confident, to create beautiful and meaningful work, to educate and mentor other artists, and to leave a positive impact on the people who cross my path. Whether you’re sitting in my chair as a client or standing beside me as a student learning a new career, I want your experience at Shero to leave you feeling more confident, knowledgeable, empowered, and excited about what’s possible. After nearly three decades in this industry, I still believe there is always something new to learn, another way to grow, and another person whose life you can positively impact.
